Measuring Tips to Assure The Best Fit

Bust

With arms at sides, place tape measure under your arms and run it around the fullest part of the bustline and across the shoulder blades.

Waist

Find the natural crease of your waist by bending to one side. Run tape measure around your natural waistline, keeping one finger between the tape and your body for a comfortable fit.

Hips

With feet together, run tape measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat, about 7 to 8 inches below your waistline.

Inseam

For full-length pants, run tape measure along the inside of your leg, from just below the crotch to about 1 inch below the ankle.

As we are an independent and only produce small quantities our sizes vary slightly from style to style.

All garments have been carefully measured, therefore to ensure the very best fit, we suggest taking your own body measurements, whilst wearing light-weight clothing/ underwear and standing up straight, and compare these to our size chart.

Inspired by an early 1950s Jacques Fath design, the Geneviève takes vintage couture elegance and makes it easy to wear. Rather than a nipped-in, fitted silhouette, she’s cut as a relaxed overcoat that falls gently from the shoulders, so she layers beautifully over everything you love to wear.

She’s made from a warm wool-mix fabric, and every detail stays true to the original fifties design. She has a generous oval collar, fabric-covered buttons, handy side pockets and 3/4 sleeves finished with wide turned-back cuffs, just right for showing off a bangle or a pair of gloves.

Throw her on with jeans or pedal pushers for weekend errands, or wear her over your most beautiful dresses for lunch, dinner and everything in between. She’s a true all-rounder and an all-day coat, the kind you’ll reach for every morning from the first crisp days of autumn onwards.
