Measuring Tips to Assure The Best Fit

Bust

With arms at sides, place tape measure under your arms and run it around the fullest part of the bustline and across the shoulder blades.

Waist

Find the natural crease of your waist by bending to one side. Run tape measure around your natural waistline, keeping one finger between the tape and your body for a comfortable fit.

Hips

With feet together, run tape measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat, about 7 to 8 inches below your waistline.

Inseam

For full-length pants, run tape measure along the inside of your leg, from just below the crotch to about 1 inch below the ankle.

As we are an independent and only produce small quantities our sizes vary slightly from style to style.

All garments have been carefully measured, therefore to ensure the very best fit, we suggest taking your own body measurements, whilst wearing light-weight clothing/ underwear and standing up straight, and compare these to our size chart.

Our adorable 1950’s style ‘Dixie Doll’ pinafore strap skirt, has adjustable and detachable braces with 4 functional brass buttons at the front and back to allow you to change the length of the straps. It is made from a warm feel, soft woven, traditional Royal Stewart tartan, perfect to keep you warm and cosy whilst still maintaining a demure elegant look. This skirt is tight-fitting so will really embrace your curves, but only has a little stretch, therefore, please measure yourself and compare these to our size chart before buying.

Fabric composition: 67% Polyester, 29% Viscose, 4% Elastane.
