    Measuring Tips to Assure The Best Fit

    Bust

    With arms at sides, place tape measure under your arms and run it around the fullest part of the bustline and across the shoulder blades.

    Waist

    Find the natural crease of your waist by bending to one side. Run tape measure around your natural waistline, keeping one finger between the tape and your body for a comfortable fit.

    Hips

    With feet together, run tape measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat, about 7 to 8 inches below your waistline.

    Inseam

    For full-length pants, run tape measure along the inside of your leg, from just below the crotch to about 1 inch below the ankle.

    As we are an independent and only produce small quantities our sizes vary slightly from style to style.

    All garments have been carefully measured, therefore to ensure the very best fit, we suggest taking your own body measurements, whilst wearing light-weight clothing/ underwear and standing up straight, and compare these to our size chart.

    It is made from a high quality, stretch tartan, with a satin lined & front boned bodice and a concealed zip at the back for smooth fit. The waist does not have any belt loops which gives you the choice to wear this dress with or without it’s matching 2 inch belt. The skirt section is full circle with lashings of fabric and is worn here with one of our fluffy mint petticoats. The petticoat is sold separately.

      This is a stunning dress! I wore it for a Burns Night and received 5 separate compliments from complete strangers! One of whom referred to the dress as “banging”!!
      However, sizing isn’t perfect. I am a size 12-14 and so I ordered the 14. It is TIGHT. Not so tight as being unwearable but after a meal it was uncomfortably tight. Worth it for the compliments though!
